Guidance and support around Coronavirus Find out more

DofE Diary

DofE will be running slightly differently in 2021 to normal due to Coronavirus. We are planning to run Bronze and Silver DofE locally abiding by restrictions at the time of the expeditions.

Participants will be returning home each evening and then returning to the campsite again the following day. Participants will walk and carry out their DofE project as they previously would have done, they will pitch their tents at the campsite along with cooking their evening meal. They will then be collected to sleep at home and return in the morning to cook their breakfast and take tents down, ready for the days walking.

We are aiming under the circumstances to run this as close to a normal DofE expedition as we can.

DofE route planning will be completed using Zoom with the participants using eDofE mapping to submit their maps and route cards.

The cost for the Bronze assessed weekend will be £18.00
The cost for the Silver practice weekend will be £22.00
