Our hosting company have had problems with spam being sent from their servers and have changed the way e-mails are sent, filtered and forwarded. The practical consequences are that messages sent using the contact form over the last 4 days may not have been delivered and are lost and that e-mail to chelmsfordscouts.org.uk addresses may also not have been delivered if it was sent from aol.com, hotmail.com, yahoo.com or googlemail.com accounts (and possibly others). The contact form is now updated and works properly. I am currently talking to the hosting company to address the forwarding issues.

 'Remember Me' for Logins

Adult users can now tick a 'Remember me until I logout' box when they login. The benefits include not having to login next time you visit the site, your name and e-mail address being added automatically to comments and no need to enter 'reCaptcha' words to prove your're a human! Your current status is shown in the top right-hand corner of the page.

To read the comments and add your own look at the whole post (generally by clicking where it says 'Read More and See Comments').  Adult Logins Now Available

Adult logins allow access to restricted resources, these include the most up-to-date version of the District Directory available. If you would like a login there is a registration link. Click on Adults on the navigation bar and choose Adult Login or use the link on the left hand side on the home page.

A few more improvements including pips in all views now and contacts being shown when looking at all sub-categories in a category. Also the RSS feed is now detected by IE and Firefox.

For users with a login descriptions can now be added to all photos and documents when you manage a folder, they are displayed when a photo is viewed. Images can now be rotated.

All posts should now show a date when last updated. Lots of changes to make the site pass HTML 4.01 validation, but not quite there yet, mainly because of third-party components. A lot better than it was though!

I've added a RSS feed to website, look for the  on the home-page. Clicking on it should allow you to subscribe to the feed and see all the news as it's posted without visiting the site every time.
