The District Team support the work of groups and units. They are there to provide advice and support as well as run a programme of events within the district. An organisation chart is available in the District Team gallery (see the right-hand panel).

 The Scout Shop Is Moving

The last day of trading at the shop in Meadgate is Thursday 22nd October. As from Monday 2nd November 2009 it will be within the premises of One Stop Scouting. However, it will still be a District responsibility. For more opening/closing times etc click 'Read More'.

 New District Appointments

I am delighted to inform you that Gwen Hudson has agreed to take on the role of Deputy District Commissioner, Group Support and Development and in that role Gwen will be working closely with Group Scout Leaders to help develop their groups. This builds on her role as ADC Group Support which she has done for several months.

I am also delighted to announce that Nicky Prior has agreed to take the role of ADC Scouts alongside Stuart Collett who has been managing the role on his own for a while now. Nicky has supported the Scout Section as a District Scout Leader and her enthusiasm and commitment have been a great asset.
