The 26th Chelmsford (Great Baddow) is situated in Brookbank in Meadgate and serves all the surrounding area and estates. They meet on Tuesdays from 7pm - 9pm every week. The Troop undertakes a variety of Scouting activities from night hikes, pioneering and awards to weekend camps, trips and competitions; all including as the serious business of having fun. The Troop currently contains 25 Scouts and 3 Leader; Gary, Andy & Rob. There are spaces for newcomers to join and they are always looking forward to welcoming new members! On Sunday 21st September 2008, some very excited Scouts from the 26th Chelmsford (Great Baddow) Troop took part in the annual Chelmsford scout raft race with three rafts, one made from plastic barrels, one made from two baths and the other made from bamboo poles.
