The 26th Chelmsford (Gt Baddow) had a surprise for their retired Group Scout Leader, as Terry and Betty Simister arrived at Paper Mill Lock, they thought they were their for a Birthday celebration, but they were wrong 26th Chelmsford had arrived as well to present Terry with a gift for all his work he had done for the group over about 10years.
Stan Arnold our Group Chairman presented Terry with a Tankard and a Scout presented Betty with some flowers.
We had a great day all together catching up on old times and new things to happen in the group. A lovely buffet meal was shared as well. The weather was booked it was sunny, all this helped to make our day FANTASIC.
