Our Campsite: Riffhams

King Edward VIII Scout Park, also known as Riffhams, is a 4 hectare wooded site adjacent to over 100 hectares of National Trust land near Chelmsford, Essex. We are located only a few miles from the site of the 2007 World Jamboree at Hylands Park.

There are a number of camping areas suitable for both group and patrol camping, water taps are conveniently located around the site.

A hut with kitchen facilities is available and is ideal for centralised catering and wet weather shelter. Cooking rings, gas and basic utensils are provided. The toilet block has the usual facilities plus a disabled toilet and a shower. The site is great for traditional camping and backwoods / survival activities.

Riffhams is a great base for DofE training and is situated an ideal expedition distance from Prances camp site at Wickham Bishops.
