Our Chelmsford District AGM will be held on Tuesday 22nd September 2020.
Given the unusual circumstances surrounding Covid 19 this will be held via an online Zoom meeting in order that we can fulfil our Charity & Scout Association obligations. Further details will follow separately but it is likely to commence at 7.30 pm.
This meeting will purely focus on the key statutory requirements of an AGM without any of the usual “whistles and bells”.
The Agenda and Accounts will be available on our website beforehand with a separate “all District” communication confirming the details of how and when to access these documents.
At the AGM we will need to appoint:
- The District Secretary – (Rick Balding has indicated a willingness to stand and to continue in this role, although we can accept nominations from members of the Scout Council;
- District Treasurer – (Chris Dear has indicated a willingness to stand and to continue in this role) although we can accept nominations from members of the Scout Council;
- 3 Nominated members of the Executive. These are individuals who are nominated by any members of the Scout Council to act as Trustees through until the next AGM.
An Application Form for any of the above Executive roles can be found at the bottom of this article
Finally, we also need to appoint Independent Examiners for our accounts. This has been carried out for the past few years by Community360 (Colchester), a charitable organisation providing professional and affordable financial services to community and voluntary organisations.
