Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to share your passion for scouting with new volunteers? If so we would like like you to join our District Volunteer Development Team leading the Recruitment & Welcome Sub-Team. This team is dedicated to attracting and welcoming new volunteers to Chelmsford Scouts.

As the lead volunteer for this team you will oversee the following tasks:

Use Scouts branded resources to attract new volunteers.
Reply quickly and positively to possible new volunteers.
Make sure volunteers are welcomed easily and smoothly.
Hold inductions with Group Lead Volunteers and other Group and District Leadership Team Members.
Provide Group Teams with resources and opportunities for recruitment
Make sure all District teams (including Group Lead Volunteers) follow our approach to safe volunteer recruitment, appointment, reviews, and processes for leaving Scouts.
Support groups with welcome conversations and processes
Support team leaders & lead volunteers when having challenging conversations with volunteers
